ABOUT WHARTON COUNTY FARMERS' MARKET

The Wharton County Farmers' Market has been open since Spring of 2006.  It is a seasonal market, open only from May to July in the spring and November to December in the fall.  The market consists of local small-scale growers as well as family farms and gardeners who produce vegetables, fruits, local honey, cage-free eggs, flowers, and much more. Because products are seasonal, the best way to find out what's available each week is to check out the market's web page - the Saturday Market in Wharton.

Our vendor list is growing. We are currently open to accepting additional vendors to provide freshly harvested fruits and vegetables. No harvest is too small - backyard gardeners are welcome. If you're ready to apply to become a vendor, application materials and rules are available online on the Vendor Sign-up page.

The Wharton County Farmers' Market is a not-for-profit business. The market is managed by the Market Managers, and all decisions relating to the market will be made by the Market Managers with advice from the Board of Directors (“Board”).
